The PAMS 3.0 CD comes with a spiral bound Instruction Book with each
PAMS 3.0 pack. This 66 page book is an excellent reference and
guide for the assessor to use and apply during and after a PAMS
assessment.
If you still feel that you require further assistance in using PAMS 3.0
then training is available. The training is provided by either
the PAMS’ author Dr. Sue McGaw or a PAMS Trainer. Dr. McGaw
founded the Special Parenting Service in 1988 which provides assistance
to parents with intellectual disabilities. She is regarded as a
leading expert in this field and has been the British Psychological
Society’s spokesperson on this topic for many years. Training is
provided as an Open 2 Day Introductory Workshop. Alternatively,
organisations may commission
their own 2 Day Introductory Workshop for delivery at a venue of their
choice.
These
workshops will be of interest to social workers, family support
workers, psychologists, health visitors, midwives, solicitors,
children’s guardians, family mediators, judges, magistrates.
